Wake up now, the leaves are falling
Autumns come, time to walk the trail
The sunlight shimmering,bird wings flying
Virgin colors of nature, blown through the wind
I look through the window, search for my angel,
waking within the wooded groves
Fly out of the window and feel my reflection
in the scenes down memory lane
I remember the time when she ran into my arms
with the moon in her clasped hands, that night
She never did say a word,
But she knew I understood
Days went by with locked lips and eternal passion,
Breezy nights under the heavenly starlight
Our hearts locked, souls transcend and become one
Came the warm sultry summer and soon the freshness of spring
Just when we thought our happiness knew no bounds
Winter reckoned in and that snowy night,
She slipped into the forest to pick my favorite wild flowers
But walked straight into the den of waiting hounds
I just let her go away, she was taken by the woods
so was my life and I never came back alive again.
So many Autumns gone away since that fateful day
But now I smile, I'll be back with her again tonite, as I die.Labels: Short imagination based in central park NY Autumn-2000
