Californian Dream

A childhood dream to travel
to a place far away from home

Pictures seen in the lot
a thousand stories read.
Long years later, here I am
in natures reality show.

Land of the gold rush,
land of bridges and waterfronts
where sunshine knows no bounds,
and when it snows, its paradise found.

Mountains and hillocks
a mix of green and brown,
touching the heavenly blue
amidst the white haze of clouds

Up the canyons and
down the shoreline,
lie a maze of trails,
a trekkers dream come true.

Down to the beaches and
famed wharfs and boardwalks,
The hot summer sand hits
the cold pacific blue.

Natures creation,
beauty spellbound
In timeless eternity,
But now I am homeward bound

Cherished moments,
to take back with me
This dream called California,
is now a part of me.
