Life's strange ways, thoughts misplaced
Every day ringing in the same old chase.
Without change, the same suns rays
the mechanical day, the nightlit moon gaze.
Carry on destiny, run after hollow dreams
The world changes, but I go on just the same
Materialistic soul set in, I seek farsightedness
Missing all the moments right in front of me.
Just when I thought the monotony struck me,
An endearing smile at a crossroad I stopped to see
Familiar moment in the recent past,
A sweet escape through the night when it lasts.
Woke up this morning with a freshness not known
Like a new lease of life just passed onto me.
A moment missed not being at the crossroads I seeked,
but long years later it finally finds this wayward me.
Life's strange ways, thoughts replayed
Now every day will ring in a new happy chase.
Not wanting to leave and then reality comes back knocking
but I smile coz I know i will meet her at this moment again.
