When Man and Earth Collide

Here is me man, in control here
Fed into me they say, you are the one.

Here is where the world, began around me
From the time she turned around the sun

Long time ago a herd walked free
Roamed the lands, they feared no one

The earth chose the ones she held so dear
Seeds of life, evolution stirred

But then man turned around
And chased with their hounds
Spat on natures face.

Destroyed the lands
They are on a higher stance
The lesser mortals free.

But then nature didn't wait
At the hands of fate
The end is here.

Rage has turned to war
Earth now left with deepest scars.

Look now at man's wasteful ways
Glorious days under a darkened sun, they say.

Millions to search, for life in outer space
Not knowing the name of the one next door

Search for dried up water on the moon
While they die of thirst in the neighborhood

Goes on an empire building spree
Oil fields  are killing fields of green

In this world of peace
He builds boundaries
A war to feed his greed

If this is man and his ways
And this is where he stays
I better leave this place
Or live in this maze

Give in or get out

(Mankind thrives on ego, selfish bastards living the extremes,
Fat rich, deprived poor, no tiled roof above or soles below, kids on the streets,
Dance in the rain or rave in the clubs, Wife at home , rapes in the bus,
Dilapidated school, ivy league rut, high rise touch skies, and that hut dweller low down)

If this is man, if this is man, it spells like doom
If this is man, this is a scam of human magnitude
If this is man, if this is man, I’d rather be animal
If this is man, if this is man, I’d rather be animal

Written and performed along with Sudhakar Prabhu at the 100 Thousand Poets for Change 2013 that talks of Man's ways today and so better remain an Animal.
