Magic in Black

Magic I am
Pray for thunder lightning
Bring it down
Rage of a mad king’s cunning...

Waiting I am
Watch the drops of nature
Pouring down
Showing us somethings on its way...

Blowing now
Fury of a thousand winds just
Throw you to the ground
Under watchful eyes of a...

Lurking storm
Makes its way through this
Golden land across the Nile
As I look up to the sky...

A cloud of smoke rises
The blue is turned to black

Blinded in the ring of fire
Running through the wild

The fate of earth decided
Now there's no turning back

The sound of fear engulfs
The screams in the dark

As the floods swept by
What seemed like eternity
Opens the great divide

Calm and still
Raise the veil of evil
The sun breaks out again
Time for a new beginning...

Magic I am

Thoughts in spiral circles
All around
Laid out under layers of light

Inspired by the story of Milarepa (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milarepa) from old buddhist folklore a black magician who caused death and destruction to his fellow men as revenge, until one day the thunder and lightning he created destroyed his own living and he emerged a learned enlightened ascetic from that who repented his deeds and gave back to the people and buddhism, a lot of it captured in his poetic literature. His poetry was a great inspiration when I initially was learning buddhism. Wrote this song in an Egyptian context instead.
